Arigna Mining Experience
The Arigna Mining Experience visitor centre in North Roscommon overlooks the Arigna Valley and presents stunning views of Lough Allen and the surrounding mountains. The all-weather visitor centre and the mine are completely wheelchair accessible and we can adapt the tour to suit the needs of your group.
On arrival guests view a short DVD presentation containing footage of the working mine, a photographic exhibition and enjoy an audio-visual exhibit which highlights the socio-economic effect of the industry while in operation. There is also a coffee shop, serving light snacks, freshly baked treats, and a gift shop where you can purchase a memento of your visit.
Duration: approx. 2hrs total, consisting of DVD presentation (15 mins) followed by underground tour (approx. 45 mins) and lunch.
Tour is on the flat, it is fully accessible, warm jacket & comfortable shoes recommended.
Lunch at the Arigna Mining Experience Café is included in ticket price.
